DOWNLOADS
This is a private page, containing buttons that will allow personal friends to download -- or listen to -- things I've posted here. The main set of files, for now, is a set of songs that I wrote, and had demo-recorded at a studio in Nashville. They were written for a concept album, or perhaps a stage play or movie, inspired by the game of chess, not as a game, played in comfort, by as the story of a war between two medieval kingdoms, where the Kings, Queens, knights, bishops and other were real people, caught up in a war that no one wanted, but no one could stop. If you want to know more, contact the author of this website, via the "Contacts" page.
These first songs are based on the six types of pieces, in the game of chess.

CHESS_Love & War
Song for opening credits: a man tries to explain why he plans to leave his wife, to go fight in a war. Visuals: two children playing in a field hear something, and run to their village, to tell everyone some men are coming. Everyone goes to watch, as soldiers march past.
FEMALE PAWN_I Can't Stop It So I Guess I'll Let It Rain
A young (newly married, but in secret) woman is terribly sad, and afraid, after her (secret) husband, who has become a knight's squire, tells her he has been chosen for a dangerous mission into enemy territory, to gauge whether the enemy is getting ready for war
CHESS_QUEEN BATTLE_What Are You Doing Here
Two Queens who despise and fear each other, face off before a battle begins, knowing full well that either or both of them might be killed, that night
A couple of country songs, just for grins. When I became serious about the chess album, I joined the Nashville Songrwiters Association, and went to weekend workshops, where skilled and successful writers try to teach aspiring songwriters how to write better stuff. These are three of the songs I ended up writing, and getting demo'd.
